"E-mahut / א-מהות" - en

Through drawing portraits I try to investigate my private dilemmas and to constructively question my inner structure as an artist and as an individual. The iconic figures, the emblematic characters in my life need faces in order to become reachable. The root of the project is one and the same with my personal roots. I am challenging to myself is to find emotional avatars in the faces and physiognomies of Jewish women of Tel Aviv, to find the traits that make up the Jewish womanhood and maybe a prototype of their pure and delicate but strong essence by observing them.
I propose an installation, a wall of drawings on different mediums and papers, different frames or boxes (also made out of found objects), of Jewish women that I meet or see on the street and below it their name (real or fictional). The overall image is that of an emotional mapping of femininity and of personal icons that live on through the Jewish Woman and also a profound and poetic look at what makes up this particular inheritance.
