The Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing, in partnership with the Moldova-China Center for Economic and Cultural Cooperation and the support of the Embassy of Romania in the People’s Republic of China and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Beijing, has the honor to invite you on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., at the headquarters of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Galaxy SOHO, to attend the event entitled:“Culture Without Borders: Romania & Republic of Moldova, Cultural and Tourism Networking Evening.”
The event will be held under the high patronage of H.E. Mr. Dan Horia Maxim, Ambassador of Romania to the People’s Republic of China and H.E. Mr. Dumitru Braghiș, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the People’s Republic of China. The guest of honor will be Mr. Petre Roman, former Prime Minister of Romania, present in Beijing on the occasion of the 80th anniversary since the foundation of the United Nations, at the invitation of the Moldova-China Center for Economic and Cultural Cooperation.
This symbolic initiative marks the beginning of a cooperation between the cultural institutes of the two countries in the Chinese space and is part of a broader effort to promote the shared cultural heritage and complementary tourism potential of Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Based on a deep historical and cultural legacy, the project aims to highlight shared values and to foster new forms of collaboration with the Chinese public and institutional partners. This first collaboration will be followed by a series of joint cultural initiatives—concerts, exhibitions, and conferences—designed to strengthen the presence of both countries in the Asian cultural landscape.
The event will feature key elements of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the two countries, through a visual presentation (PPT) and a curated selection of video materials illustrating the richness of traditions, vernacular architecture, folklore, and the diversity of rural and urban tourism in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The evening will also include a reception offered by the two cultural institutes, providing guests with the opportunity to network in a warm and informal setting.
The event will bring together diplomats, tourism professionals, cultural operators, journalists, and Chinese partners who are already engaged in collaboration with institutions from Romania and the Republic of Moldova or who are interested in initiating new cultural partnerships. Through this initiative, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Moldova-China Center for Economic and Cultural Cooperation reaffirm their role as a platform for intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation, contributing to strengthening the visibility of Romania and the Republic of Moldova as complementary cultural and touristic destinations, and promoting a shared vision for the future in China and in the broader context of international cultural relations.
