75 Years of Romanian-Chinese Bilateral Diplomatic Relations in Photographs and Representative Books

In celebration of 75 years of Romanian-Chinese bilateral diplomatic relations, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing, with the support of Agerpres and the Chinese Cultural Center, is honored to invite you on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 7:00 PM, to the opening of the book and photography exhibition "75 Years of Romanian-Chinese Bilateral Relations in Photographs and Representative Books" at its headquarters in Galaxy Soho. The exhibition's opening will coincide with a similar event at the Chinese Cultural Center in Bucharest and will be open to the public until December 15, 2024.

The photography exhibition features 35 photos, measuring 90x60 cm, capturing high-level meetings between leaders of the two countries from 1966 to 2002, provided electronically by the Romanian Press Agency Agerpres.

The book exhibition includes over 50 representative titles from Romanian literature and history, translated into Chinese over the years, complemented by volumes of Chinese culture translated and published in Romanian.

At the event's opening, we invite you to a classical guitar recital by the young artist Siena Vușcan,featuring a 40-minute program:

Siena Vușcan was born in the United States on July 16, 2009, and moved to China with her family at the age of five. Between 2013 and 2019, she began her artistic career in China, participating in various shows and traditional Chinese music competitions, including appearances on CCTV, and hosting her own children's show, Women De Baobei. She gained national recognition in China after appearing at the 2020 Chinese New Year Gala, the country's most-watched television event.

In 2020, Siena settled in Romania, discovering her passion for studying classical guitar at the "Sigismund Toduță" Music High School, where she participated in numerous competitions and festivals, earning remarkable awards, including second place on "Românii au talent." Currently, Siena is back in China, studying in the 10th grade at the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music (Qingdao campus) and attending Pre-College courses at the Juilliard College of Music (Tianjin campus), under the guidance of renowned teachers Beke Istvan, Wang You, and Kuang Junhong. At 15, she is already establishing herself as a promising talent in classical guitar.

7:15 PM – Mr. Liviu Țăranu, Director of ICR Beijing – Detailed presentation of the exhibition and a brief history of Romanian-Chinese bilateral relations

7:30 PM – Classical guitar recital by Siena Vușcan (40 min) 8:10 PM – Cocktail
