Festival of International Delicacies

On September 10th, 2016, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague will take part in the Festival of International Delicacies organized by the New City Hall, in Karlovo nám. 1/23, 120 00 Praha 2. The event aims to present the culture and delicacies from 28 countries represented in the Czech Republic. 

The Romanian stand will display fine products of the traditional gastronomy, including famous pastry and sweets: sarmale - traditional dish made of minced meat wrapped in cabbage or vine leaves - with polenta and sour cream, pies - cheese and dill, spinach and meat, pumpkin -, pastry filled with walnuts, poppy seeds, cheese, apricot jam, cozonac - traditional cake - with Turkish delight and walnuts, cheese pretzels, as well as a variety of Romanian wines from Recaş.

The festival has been successfully organized and continues the tradition by bringing a great variety of delicacies and wines to the locals and also to the visitors/international tourists. The first editions took place during the spring and autumn of 2015, and had over 5000 visitors.
