The segment of our "History of Romania in One Object" series focused on vestiges and artifacts from the Banat province in South-Western Romania concludes with the presentation of the MECIPT-1, the first electronic computer built in Romania, a testament of Timișoara’s outstanding technological traditions, alive todays as they were 60 years ago when the academics of the Polytechnic Institute put together that amazing piece of machinery.

Text and video presentation by historian and curator Adrian Deheleanu. Film concept by Ana Tudor and Adrian Tudor. A project developed together with The National Museum of Banat in Timișoara and Timiș County Council.
