The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with The "Elie Wiesel" National Institute for the Study of Holocaust in Romania, is hosting, between September 21 - October 21, 2014 the exhibition „The Memory of the Holocaust- Sighetu Marmatiei 1944-2014”, which is part of the series of events dedicated to commemorating 70 years since the deportation of Jews from Northern Transylvania, as well as to marking the Romanian National Day of Commemorating the Holocaust (October 9).
The opening of the exhibition will take place on September 21, at 14:00, during the round table “70 years since the deportation of Jews from Northern Transylvania”.
This exhibition is a reproduction of the documentary and photographic testimonies comprised in the permanent exhibition, organized by The "Elie Wiesel" National Institute for the Study of Holocaust in Romania in collaboration with The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, at the “Elie Wiesel” Memorial House in Sighetu Marmatiei (Romania).
The exhibition is open to the public Monday to Thursday, between 10:00 – 15:00, at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, 8 Shaul Hamelech Blvd., 6th Floor.
