The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv proudly supports the presence of Romanian tenor Ștefan Pop at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv - Yafo. The artist will be playing the part of Nemorino in the opera “L'elisir d'amore” by Gaetano Donizetti, at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv-Yafo, show directed by Omri Nitzan which features opera singers from Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and Romania. The set and costume designer Ruth Dar prepared a contemporary interpretation of the stage. “L'elisir d'amore” will have 10 performances between the 11th and the 22nd of March 2015. Stefan Pop, tenor, was born in Romania. His repertoire includes Alfredo in La traviata, the Duke in Rigoletto (Verdi), Nemorino in L'elisir da'more (Donizetti), Rodolfo in La boheme (Puccini), the Italian Singer in Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Elvino in La sonnambula (Bellini), the title role in Faust (Gounod), Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Mozart) and other roles. He performs at the Vienna Staatsoper, the Salzburg Festival and at the opera houses of Paris, Hamburg, Valencia, Moscow, Frankfurt, Monte Carlo, Naples, Seoul, Marseille, Zurich, Palermo, Athens and others. At the Israeli Opera he performed Alfredo in La Traviata (Verdi).
