The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv together with the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning - Technion, I.I.T., Haifa, proudly invite you on July 30, 2012 to the international symposium and opening of the exhibition entitled: „Harry Stern and Architectural Modernism in Bucharest”.The exhibition comprises photographs and drawings which emphasize Architect Harry Stern’s contribution to the architecture of interwar Bucharest. This exhibition will be open to the public between July 30-August 8 at the PeKa Gallery located in the Tecnion and it represents the outcome of Arch. Simona Or Munteanu’s work, currently a master student at the Technion I.I.T., Haifa.
The symposium, that will be attended by Romanian and Israeli specialists, will focus on three main themes:
• Bucharest modernism in the interwar period
• The contribution of the Jewish architects to the development of the modern architecture in Romania
• Harry Stern, as an architect and teacher

The exhibition is organized with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv (RCI). Participants with the support of the RCI in Tel Aviv: Prof. Dr. Mihaela Criticos and Prof. Em. Mihail Caffe.
