The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv is hosting, between September 5- October 13, 2016, the photography exhibition "From Above" that includes works by Aviva Even Zohar.
The exhibition represents an invitation to join the artist in a journey of colour and shape, and to envision something that seems clear, but actually is not. Aviva Even Zohar takes aerial photos from light air crafts and is interested in what can be seen from outside, pure scenery that inspires the imagination, since the image is in the eye of the beholder. The artist creates two experiences. One - the quick, first impression, that flows throughout the gallery walls and the other- the piercing look, up-close, wondering, investigating the blurry, mystifying shapes. It seems like the photograph intends to create an emotional experience but also a thoughtful one. Photographs that require the viewer to give more than one look, to present what was not observed before.
The exhibition is open to the public Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 16:00 hrs at Romanian Cultural Institute, Tel Aviv, 8 Shaul Hamelech blvd., 6th floor.
