On May 2nd, 2013, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv will celebrate the Europe Day by attending the European Market event, organized by Haifa Center for German and European Studies (HCGES) and the Student Union of Haifa University, at Café Deshe within the Campus. The Romanian stand will present the RCI activities and events, the Romanian language courses, the study opportunities in Romania and will offer promotional materials of RCI.
Along the European Market, Hecht Museum will host the conference Europe's way out of crisis, to which the RCI President Mr. Andrei Marga has been invited to participate in the first panel of the discussion, Crisis in the Euro zone – Scenarios and global consequences. At the discussion will also participate H.E. Breifne O'Reilly, Ambassador of Ireland to the State of Israel, Prof. Benjamin Miller (School of Political Science, Haifa University) and Prof. Benjamin Bental (Department of Economics, Haifa University).

The Haifa Center for German and European Studies (HCGES) is a joint project of the University of Haifa and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Founded in 2007, the mission of the HCGES is to expose students, researchers, and the broader community to modern Germany. In order to achieve this goal the Center engages in intensified Germany-related teaching activities and supports relevant research projects. The Center emphasizes the social, political, legal, economic, and cultural developments and tendencies in Germany since 1945. The HCGES is an interdisciplinary center. It is anchored in the Research Authority of the University of Haifa and cooperates with the university's faculties of the humanities, social sciences, and law. The Center also supports relevant activities of other faculties and institutions at the University of Haifa.
