Claudiu Cobilanschi photography exhibition within the Photography Festival

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague supports the participation of artist Claudiu Cobilanschi in the Photography Festival, organized by Fotograf and Školská galleries between October 5 - 31, 2016 which will take place in various exhibition spaces in Prague. The program of this year's edition, „At the border between culture and nature", reunites six solo and group exhibitions that will be accompanied by other events. Every exhibition starts with a public opening. Their descriptive materials can be foud in the galleries and on the official website and Facebook page of the festival, together with the video interviews with the artists. The individual exhibitions are accompanied by conferences, discussions and events such as: short art workshops, artist presentations, new-media events and live music.

The photography exhibition of artist Claudiu Cobilanschi - „A phenological approach to sylviculture and its followers" - will take place between October 10 - 31, 2016 la Galeria Prototyp, Sekaninova 16, Praha 2. It explores and investigates the Forestry School Environment, including parts of it that change over time. Cobilanschi focuses on the structure of the Curriculum, motivation of the students, their equipment etc. and documents the formalization of the human interactions with nature. Therefore, his project integrates perfectly in the format of the festival, which is designed to unify the theme of nature and the landscape through workshops, visits to cultural centers outside the city, shows, film projections and others.

The relationship between visual arts and nature will be the main point of the discussions organized with experts in the field. As for Claudiu Cobilanschi, profesionally he lives between, art and media. On one hand, as a journalist, he uses multiple media to develop and debate socio-political matters, and, on the other hand, as an artist, he analyzes their inner aestetics. I his work, Cobilanschi approaches the issue of sterotype way of thinking, physicality and forecasting, mass-media and ego-casting etc., using photography and performance, super cinema, binaural recording, interactive films etc.
