Violist Jacob Adams and pianist Angela Draghicescu come together at Rudolfinium's Sukova Recital Hall for an evening of colourful and evocative music from the Czech Republic, Romania, and the United States, on September 26th, 2016 at 7 PM. Their debut on the musical scene of the Czech Philharmonic follows their Carnegie Hall debut this summer as part of Trio 248 and is supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague, the Romanian Embassy in the Czech Republic and of the Embassy of the United States of America in the Czech Republic. The recital will feature musical gems for viola and piano by Zich, Janáček, Enescu and Gerswhin in the wonderful interpretation of both internationally acclaimed musicians. The Drăghicescu-Adams duo performs regularly, promoting the beautiful chamber repertoire for viola and piano throughout Europe and the U.S.
On September 27th, 2016, at 17.30, Jacob Adams will reveal interesting aspects of the theoretical and practical study of viola and Angela Drăghicescu will make an introduction in the string instruments study and elementary notions of instrumental techniques. This interactive artistic programme will be held at the American Cultural Centre within the Embassy of the U.S.A.
