The Amsterdams @ Purple Turtle & Cavendish Arms, London

One of the best known Romanian rock bands of the moment is coming to Britain in a mini-tour to promote their latest album.

Andrei Hategan (vocals & keys), Andrei Ungureanu (guitar), Ovidiu Bejan (guitar & vocals) and Augustin Nicolae (bass), aka The Amsterdams, will rock London indie & alternative style, with their pop sound mixed with textures of indie folk and upbeat chores. Color Nurse will add visual effects to the live performance, for some 100% Romanian rock nights.

The four piece Amsterdams has been playing together since 2006. Their music can only be described as indie music that you could dance to, or dance music you can rock to. The band is currently working at their second album which will be released before their UK tour. One of their new songs, Coalmine, has already been featured on BBC Radio 6.
