The third year of the established Enescu Society concert series continues with a recital by award-winning young musicians: Amir Tebenikhin (piano) and Jaroslaw Nadrzycki (violin) & Tadashi Imai (piano, accompanist).
Jaroslaw Nadrzycki and Amir Tebenikhin won in September 2009 the first prize in the George Enescu International Violin and Piano Competition in Bucharest.

Amir Tebenikhin (piano) Amir Tebenikhin was born in Moscow in 1977 and took his first piano lessons with his father, Vladimir Tebenikhin, the famous Russian pianist and organist. He became a student at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, studying there with Mikhail Voskressensky and since 2004 he has been a student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Musikhochschule Hanover. In 1999 Tebenikhin won the XIII Vianna da Motta International Music Competition in Portugal. Furthermore he played his debuts at Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London) and Salle-Pleyel and Salle-Cortot (Paris) and has performed in music Festivals and with orchestral such as Gulbenkian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, Scottish National Symphony Orchestra and many others. Tebenikhin has won many prestigious awards including First Prize at the Recontre International de Piano Competition in Mee-sur-Seine, France in 2001, Special Prize at the 56th Geneva International Piano Competition,Laureate at the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition in Brussels in 2003, 3rd Prize at the Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow, UK in 2004, 2nd Prize and the Special Prize for the Best Interpretation of a Concerto with Orchestra at the 1st C.Bechstein International Piano Competition in Essen, Germany; continuing with his the 1st Prize at the ZF-Prize International Piano Competition in Friedrichshafen, Germany in 2006, 1st Prize at the Third Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition 2007 in Dresden, Germany.
Jaroslaw Nadrzycki (violin) Jaroslw Nadrzycki was born in Zagan, Poland, and made his debut at 12 years old with the Moscow Conservatoire Orchestra in the Tchaikovsky Great Hall. Since 2007, he has been studying at the Royal Academy of Music under the direction of Professor Igor Petrushevski. Nadrzycki was awarded top prizes at many international competitions including: 1st prize at the Jasha Heifetz International Violin Competition , Vilnius (2001), Max Rostal Competition in Berlin (2002), 1st prize at the Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition (2008) and top prizes in Tibor Varga International Violin Competition, Sion, Switzerland (2004,2006); H. Wieniawski International Violin Competition, Poznan, Poland (2006); Ruggiero Ricci Violin Competition, Austria (2007) and Benjamin Britten International Violin Competition, London (2008). The talented violinist has played to great acclaim concerts all over the world, in USA, UK, France, Russia and Lithuania. Jaroslaw has performed with many renowned orchestras such as The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Zurich Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Philharmonic, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus", Lithuanian National Philharmonic, "Transylvania" State Philharmonic. Jaroslaw Nadrzycki plays on a Joseph Guarneri violin (c. 1705) kindly on loan from the Royal Academy of Music.
Tadashi Imai (piano, accompanist) Tadashi Imai began his piano study at the age of 11. He performed at the national major music schools top student concert and he won the Piano Teachers Association (MTNA) Audition and won Second Prize at the Twelfth Takahiro Sonoda Award International Piano Competition. Tadashi was granted a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music, London. In the UK, he performed at the Tunnel Trust Music Course twice and the Halifax Chamber Music Festival for Young Musicians and the Messiaen Festival. He has performed many concerti including Stravinsky's Piano Concerto (with the Royal Academy Orchestra), Tchaikovsky's Concerto No.1 (with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra), Chopin's Concerto No.1 (with the Osaka Symphoniker), Rachmaninoff's Concerto No.3 (with the Feuerwerk Symphoniker, Tokyo). He was the official accompanist of the Menuhin International Violin Competition in 2008 and an official accompanist of the London Masterclasses, the Lake District Summer Music (England) and the Bartok Festival (Szombathely, Hungary).
The Enescu Society was established by the Romanian Cultural Institute in 2007 under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Margarita of Romania.
The Institute runs the Enescu Society Concerts Season from October to June, on the first Thursday of each month. The concert stage of the Institute hosts outstanding musicians performing George Enescu's music alongside an international repertoire.
From September 2009 the Romanian Cultural Institute awards the Enescu Society sholarship to a student at the Royal Academy of Music.
