Romanian soprano Aurelia Florian and tenor Marius Brenciu at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv - Yafo. 9-24 January 2015

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv proudly supports the presence of Romanian soprano Aurelia Florian and tenor Marius Brenciu. The two artists will be playing in main parts in the opera „La Rondine” by Giacomo Puccini, at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv-Yafo, show directed by Nicolas Joel (France) which features opera singers from Israel, Russia, Italy, Serbia and France. The soprano Aurelia Florian will perform the main feminine role (Magda) and the tenor Marius Brenciu will perform the role of Prunier. „La Rondine” will have 12 performances between the 9th and the 24th of January 2015. Aurelia Florian, soprano was born in Romania. Her repertoire includes the title role in “Parisina”, “Gemma di Vergy”, “Anna Bolena”, Maria Stuarda and Elisabetta in “Roberto Devereux”, Norina in “Don Pasquale” (Donizetti), Giorgetta in “Il Tabarro”, the title role in “Suor Angelica” (Puccini), Violetta in “La Traviata”, Linda in “La battaglia di Legnano”, Lucrezia in “I due Foscari”, Giselda in “I Lombardi” (Verdi), Elettra in “Idomeneo”, Pamina in “Die Zauberflote”, Donna Anna and Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni” (Mozart) and many other roles. Marius Brenciu, tenor, was born in Romania. His repertoire includes Alfredo in “La Traviata”, Gabriele Adorno in “Simon Boccanegra”, Macduff in “Macbeth”, Fenton in “Falstaff”, Ismaele in “Nabucco” (Verdi), Don Ottavio in “Don Giovanni”, the title role in “Idomeneo” (Mozart), Edgardo in “Lucia di Lammermoor” (Donizetti) and many other roles. He performs regularly at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Munich, Lisbon, Geneva, Toulouse, Florence, Rome. At the Israeli Opera he performed Nemorino in “L'elisir d'amore” (Donizetti), Rodolfo in “La Boheme” (Puccini) and Lensky in “Yevgeny Onegin” (Tchaikovsky).
