The Union Hall of Alba Iulia / The History of Romania in One Object

Through several installments, the new segment of our series "History of Romania in One Object", created in partnership with The National Museum of Unification and Alba County Council, brings forth artifacts and objects preserved in the heart of Romania, in the city of the Great Union of 1918, that will reconstitute the life of Romanians and their ancestors in more or less distant times. This week’s episode presents one of the most important spaces for the Romanian identity and imagination, the Union Hall of Alba Iulia, where the unification of Transylvania, the Banat and several counties in Hungary was democratically decided on December the 1st at the end of WWI.
