Aura Corbeanu: Romanian theatre exposed

Aura Corbeanu is presumably the most important Romanian theatre producer of today. She has managed UNITER - The Theatre Union of Romania (a Romanian equivalent of TCG - the Theatre Communication Group, systemic differences considered) since 1995 and has produced numerous festivals and events, both in Romania and internationally.
Before her participation to the TCG national conference, join Aura Corbeanu at RCINY to learn about a producer's view on the Romanian theatre system and context, the important differences between Romania and US and how they can be bridged in developing mutual exchanges.

UNITER was founded immediately after the Revolution, in February 1990, and has had a continuous activity ever since, representing not only a member-based guild of theatre professionals, but also a financial supporter and producer of theatre events, including the International Romanian Theatre Festival in Bucharest, and the organizer of the most prestigious theatre awards in Romania.

Her participation to the TCG conference aims to enhance the numerous and growing exchanges between Romania and the US engendered in the past years, and is organized in collaboration with the Lark Play Development Center.
