The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv is inviting writers, editors, literary critics and the public to the Round Table entitled “The translation and reception of Amos Oz’s work in Romania”. The event will take place on the 17th of May 2012, 5 p.m. at the Tzavta Theatre in Tel Aviv.
The discussions will evolve both around the stages of the translation in Romanian of Amos Oz’s work, presented to the audience by two of his main translators, and around the reception of the author’s work among the Romanian readers through the “Amos Oz” author series that has been published since 2007. Among the books that comprise this collection there are: A perfect peace (2011), Black box (2012), Don’t call it night (2010), A tale of love and darkness (2008, 2010, 2011), Suddenly in the Depth of the Forest (A Fable for all ages) (2010), Rhyming Life and Death (2009, 2011), Scenes from Village Life (2011), How to Cure a Fanatic (2011).
