Discover some of the finest Romanian art, design, and music while exploring the history of a fantastic building!
Marking 14 years since our first participation in Open House London, a city-wide celebration of the British capital's architecture and special places, we invite old friends and new visitors to explore a diverse palette of offerings from history, contemporary art & textile design exhibitions, creative design workshops and discussions, and a classical music recital.
This year, we have decided to extend our presence at the festival and open our doors to the public for four consecutive days, from 18 to 21 September, between 11 am and 5 pm.
Booking is necessary just for the following two events :
Sat 20 Sep, 4–5 pm - Echoes of Enchantment: Romanian Masters of Music and Poetry. RSVP HERE.
Sun 21 Sep, 4-5 pm - Celebrated Designer Andra Clițan Brings Romanian Creativity to London Textile Month. RSVP HERE.
As you approach our building, you will be greeted by an outdoor exhibition celebrating 35 years since the establishment of the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara. Stepping inside, two distinct exhibitions are waiting to be discovered on the ground floor: the history of the grade-listed 1 Belgrave Square building, presented in the lobby and "Chasing Light", a grand-scale exhibition reuniting over 30 drawings, paintings, sculptures, design objects, photographs, comics, and video artworks hosted by the Brâncuși Gallery.
In our grand Enescu Room situated on the first floor, acclaimed soprano Rodica Vică, rising star soprano Ilona Năstase, and impetuous British-Romanian pianist Andrada Pașcu will present to the British audiences an extraordinary recital of Romanian lieder.
