Portraits of Women. On Fragility and Strength - Film | Performance | Talk

We are proud to celebrate International Women's Day with an unconventional event exploring the strength and vulnerability of women. The evening will feature the screening of "Fragile", a documentary co-produced by Storyscapes &Fragile Society, a live performance (in English) by internationally acclaimed actress Ioana Flora and a talk with actress Ioana Flora and writer and anthropologist Rucsandra Pop, moderated by former BBC journalist and RCI London Director Aura Woodward.

"Fragile" is a documentary series aimed at documenting and retelling the life stories of women in Romania who are struggling with abuse, preconceptions and social norms. Stemming from real issues around the role of women in today’s society, Fragile Society generates artistic contexts in which women can tell their stories and support each other using art as a tool and a vehicle. These explorations spark personal and collective healing processes and foster a sense of belonging to a community.
