Round table dedicated to the memory of the Great Rabbi Alexandru Safran

On the occasion of the launching of the book Alexandru Şafran, PhD. A Life of Fight, a Ray of Light („Dr. Alexandru Şafran. O viaţă de luptă, o rază de lumină") by Carol Iancu, Phd., a round table dedicated to the memory of the Great Rabbi Alexandru Safran was organized on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv. An open talk followed the speeches by Madeea Axinciuc, PhD., Director, I.C.R. Tel Aviv, Prof. Moshe Idel, Phd., The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel Prize Awarded, Prof. Carol Iancu, Phd., University of Montpellier, Shlomo Leibovici-Laiş, Phd., President, World Cultural Association of the Jewish people born in Romania (A.C.M.E.O.R.), Meir Rosenne, Phd., Ambassador of the State of Israel in France (1979 – 1983) and the U.S.A. (1983 – 1987), and, on behalf of the family, the daughter of the Great Rabbi, Prof. Esther Starobinski Şafran, PhD., the University of Geneva and the son of the Great Rabbi, Prof. Avinoam Şafran, PhD., the University of Geneva.
