The current exhibition at the Romanian Cultural Institute presents some of Sandu Mendrea's most interesting black-and-white photos that he made in Romania.
The artist was born in 1930 in Romania. After working for two years as a director for documentary films, in 1954 he decided to start his career as s photographer, becoming one of the best in the country. Since 1985, he lives and works in Israel.
