Important information:
During this session, the Romanian Cultural Institute is organizing two course groups, each group with a limited number of places. Registrations will be made in the order of applications received and will close once the available places are fully occupied, in the order of confirmation.
To establish the level of knowledge of the Romanian language, participants will take a level test (written and oral) based on which the distribution into groups will be made. The level test is free of charge.
Participants who are not familiar with the Romanian language (level A1) will not take the level test.
Participants receive study materials for each level.
Registrations will be made in the order of applications received.
The Romanian Cultural Institute does not offer:
• visa services;
• letters of acceptance to courses;
• accommodation for participants.
The ICR does not assume responsibility for obtaining visas for non-EU citizens.
Upon completion of the Romanian language courses, the Romanian Cultural Institute issues a diploma of participation. This does not replace a certificate of linguistic competence. The certificate of linguistic competence is issued only after an exam attesting knowledge of Romanian as a foreign language.
The sessions attesting knowledge of Romanian as a foreign language take place both in Bucharest and at some representative offices of the Romanian Cultural Institute abroad, as well as at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. The consortium formed by the Romanian Cultural Institute and Babeș-Bolyai University has become a full member of ALTE, being the first and, at the moment, the only representative of the Romanian language in ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe). Together with Babeș-Bolyai University, our institute organizes examination sessions for people who wish to obtain a certificate of linguistic competence in Romanian with international accreditation (for more information, you can send an e-mail to limbaromana@icr.ro or access the website https://roexam.com/).
