International Ballet Star Alina Cojocaru to Host a Gala for Hospices of Hope at Sadler’s Wells Theatre

After a successful fundraising gala in 2008, acclaimed Romanian ballerina at the Royal Ballet, Alina Cojocaru offers again her help for Bucharest Hospice Appeal.

The Gala is organised by the British charity Hospices of Hope, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in London.

The evening celebrates a great tradition of repertoire ballet as well as the contemporary coreography, with highlights from the classical pieces along side new or rarely performed ones including works by Marius Petipa, John Neumeier, Tim Rushton, Johan Kobborg and others.

Alina Cojocaru is joined by English National Ballet Principals Daria Klimentova and Vadim Muntagirov, Steven McRae and Johan Kobborg from The Royal Ballet, Thiago Bordin from the Hamburg Ballet, and violin virtuoso Charlie Siem will also take to the stage. Manning Camerata will provide the music for the event.

Also, the Romanian ballerina invited three pupils from Floria Capsali Bucharest School of Choreography, Maria Bârzescu, Maria Mamara and Cosmin Marinescu, to feature in the UK premiere of Johan Kobborg's "Salute".
