The Tel Aviv International Students Film Festival will take place between May 31st - June 7th, 2014 at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.
At this year’s edition, Romania will be represented by the student short films “In the Fishbowl” (dir. Tudor Cristian Jurgiu), “The Pill of Happiness” (dir. Cecilia Felmeri) and “Tomorrow, Bach!” (dir. Mihnea Ciorică). Ruxandra Ioanid, co-writer of “The Pill of Happiness” will be present at the Festival with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv.
As a guest of honor, the Romanian director Radu Muntean will present to the Israeli public a selection of his films - “Tuesday, after Christmas” (2010), “Boogie” (2008) and “The Paper Will Be Blue” (2006) - and will deliver a master class entitled “Long shots or spending the time with the characters”.
The Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival was established in 1986 by students from Tel Aviv University’s renowned Film & Television Department. Today, the Film Festival is the largest such event in the world, and is ranked in the top three of its kind by the International Association of Film and Television Schools.
