Saturday, September 20, 2025, starting from 18:30, we invite you to the concert “Culture Without Borders: Osoianu Sisters in Folk Concert in Beijing” at the headquarters of RCI Beijing in Galaxy SOHO. This concert represents the first official collaboration between the cultural institutes of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in Beijing, with the support of the embassies, after the joint event of March 27, 2025. The objective is the valorization of the common cultural heritage, the emphasis of the unity of traditions and of the richness of Romanian identity expressions, as well as the reciprocal promotion in China, through a high-quality artistic act. The concert takes place under the high patronage of His Excellency Mr. Dan Horia Maxim, Ambassador of Romania to the People’s Republic of China, and His Excellency Mr. Dumitru Braghiș, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the People’s Republic of China, marking a symbolic collaboration between the two countries in the cultural landscape of China. At the end of the concert, we invite you to participate in a tasting of Romanian and Moldovan wines, organized with the support of local importers. This reception will provide a friendly framework for dialogue and socialization between diplomats, cultural operators, tourism specialists, journalists, and Chinese partners interested in initiating new directions of cultural cooperation.

The folk ensemble Osoianu Sisters is composed of the artists Elena Osoianu, Iulia Osoianu, Maria Osoianu-Bivol, Romela Osoianu-Roșca, and Valentina Osoianu, originally from Horești, Republic of Moldova, and unites five distinct voices, recognized for the authenticity and refinement of the interpretation of Romanian and Moldovan folk songs. Active for more than four decades, formed within the ethnofolkloric ensemble Tălăncuța, the Osoianu Sisters bear the honorary title of People’s Artist and have conquered audiences through the interpretation of carols, doinas, ballads, and dance songs. Their harmonized voices, compared to an archaic choir of sacred purity, transmit the universality of common traditions. In addition to the traditional repertoire, the Osoianu Sisters have collaborated with the band Subcarpați and have participated in large-scale international projects, such as the reinterpretation of the piece Through the Valley for The Last of Us Part II, as well as in prestigious festivals – CODRU (2023) and Soul of Romania (2025).
