
EUNIC Summer Academy
The annual EUNIC Summer Academy has already become a tradition and a great opportunity for the young employees of the national institutes for culture members of EUNIC to meet face to face and discuss possible common projects and the future of the network.
EUNIC Summer Academy took place for the first time in Berlin in June 2008, organized by the Hellenic Cultural Foundation and the Goethe-Institut, holding the EUNIC presidency, supported by the EUNIC-Berlin cluster.
The second edition of the Summer Academy took place in Budapest, June 15-19 2009, and it was organized by Balassi Institute and the Romanian Cultural Institute, with the support of the EUNIC-Budapest cluster. The Summer Academy hosted the representatives of 13 national institutes of culture: Wallonie-Bruxelles International, Polish Institute in Kiev, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Institute in Sofia, Brussels Danish Institute, Prague Czech Center, Polish Institute in London, British Council in Warsaw, British Council Armenia, Goethe-Institute Munich, Polish Institute in Budapest, Balassi Institute and the Romanian Cultural Institute. The dense schedule included work sessions resulting in four possible cultural projects, a detailed SWOT analysis of the network and the initiation of a Practical Guide for project development within the network.
The Summer Academy participants had the opportunity to have a fruitful discussion with the EUNIC Heads, joined together at the meeting that was simultaneously happening in Copenhagen. The program of The Summer Academy in Budapest also included meetings with local cultural organizations, visits to the EUNIC-Budapest cluster and to the Hungarian Ministry for Culture and Education.
The third edition of the Summer Academy will take place in June 13-18, 2010 in Mogosoaia - Bucharest.
