RCI PUBLISHING HOUSE
The Romanian Cultural Institute Publishing House publishes reference works in the fields of literature, art, and science, as well as literary works, alone or in partnership with specialized institutions in Romania or abroad. The Romanian Cultural Institute Publishing House reports to the Secretary General of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The Romanian Cultural Institute Publishing House is organized at the level of a department. The Romanian Cultural Institute Publishing House is headed by a director and exercises the following main attributes:
1. Promotes the image of Romanian cultural and intellectual production abroad;
2. Edits volumes that can be considered part of the Romanian intellectual heritage;
3. Identifies cultural objectives specific to the editorial program and submits them for approval by the Institute’s Managing Committee;
4. Maintains relationships with other publishing houses;
5. Carries out cost/benefit analyses for publishing initiatives;
6. Proposes and carries out promotional programs for edited works together with the Department General for Communication;
7. Collaborates with other departments and divisions to achieve their proposed objectives and fulfill their specific attributes;
8. Assures the implementation, in accordance with the laws in effect, of each proposed project/program, in permanent collaboration with the Department General for Economic Affairs, the Department General for Communication, and the Legal Department;
9. Draws up the documentation necessary for the successful implementation of projects/programs and delivers it for processing to the Department General for Economic Affairs;
10. Carries out any other attributes determined by law, as well as those expressly conferred by the Institute’s leadership
