From August 15th to 27th 2011, The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv has the pleasure to invite you to the Romanian stand within the 36th edition of the international Jerusalem Arts and Crafts Festival.
The Romanian craftspeople Marian Lungu, Anamaria Ardeleanu, Anca Gabriela Lungu and Maricica Ardeleanu will display and sell a wide selection of handmade objects and clothing items from Bacău county: traditional shirts "ii", hand woven table mats and towels, handmade jewelry, small wooden objects, musical instruments, toys. Ad-hoc workshops will be available for the public.
The international Jerusalem Arts and Crafts Festival, which has taken place for more than thirty years, represents the largest tourist attraction of the Jerusalem summer season. It is held at the Hutzot Hayotzer Arts and Crafts Center, Mitchell Gardens and the Merrill Hassenfeld Amphitheater in the Sultan’s Pool, opposite the Tower of David at the foot of the Old City Walls. More than 200 of the best of Israel’s artist and artisans, as well as over 60 international booths, exhibit paintings, prints, ceramics, metalwork and jewelry, weaving and textiles, Judaica, toys, crafts in various techniques, works in wood and more. The international exhibit includes authentic and varied arts and crafts from all over the world.
The Festival is open every evening (except Fridays) from 18:00 – 23:00 and Saturday from one hour after the end of the Sabbath until midnight.
